Singapore, 7 October 2015 – Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today said it has jointly won the “Best Innovation in Heterogeneous Networks” award with StarHub, Singapore’s fully-integrated info-communications company at LTE Asia Awards 2015. The awards ceremony was held on October 6 at Suntec City, Singapore.

Early this year, StarHub commercially deployed Huawei’s small cells solution LampSite in The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, enhancing indoor mobile coverage and capacity for customers to enjoy faster downloads and enhanced video experience at LTE-Advanced speeds of up to 300Mbps.

“We are delighted to have received the ‘Best Innovation in Heterogeneous Networks’ award at LTE Asia Awards 2015 together with our longstanding partner Huawei. By deploying Huawei’s LampSite solution to address indoor coverage and capacity challenges, we are able to ensure that customers enjoy superior mobile data experience even in areas with high human traffic, on the world’s fastest LTE network*,” said Mock Pak Lum, Chief Technology Officer of StarHub.

“The successful partnership between StarHub and Huawei shows how we can work hand-in-hand with local industries to provide cutting-edge solutions that will push the envelope on current technologies and enrich the end-user experience,” said Zhou Bin, CEO of Huawei International. “Collaboration is the key to contributing to the entire ecosystem and ultimately enables new services and businesses.”
