Singapore, 7 March 2025 – Women-led businesses are shaping the future with their innovation and resilience, yet many still face challenges in scaling up due to limited access to resources, mentorship, and networks. To bridge these gaps, StarHub introduced HER Hub, a networking and knowledge-sharing event in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Themed “Empowering Women Through Connection,” HER Hub connected women entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and influencers to spark meaningful conversations and equip participants with insights and tools to grow their businesses in an ever-evolving world.

“At StarHub, we believe that great businesses are built on great people, and success is never a solo journey,” said Tan Toi Chia, Chief People, Organisation & Communications at StarHub. “HER Hub is our way of fostering a supportive community where womenpreneurs can connect, learn, and grow together.”

HER Hub brought together a dynamic panel of inspiring business leaders for From Passion to Profit: Scaling Your Business as a Woman Entrepreneur. Andrea Chong, Sahur Saleim, and Audra Balasingam shared personal stories of navigating business growth, embracing innovation, and leveraging the power of community.

Andrea Chong, co-founder of the fashion label Good Addition and a leading influencer, highlighted the importance of strategic planning, branding, and adaptability in transforming passion into a sustainable business. “Building a lasting business takes passion, adaptability, and a commitment to quality. Passion keeps you going through the highs and lows, while adaptability ensures you stay relevant in an evolving landscape. But at the core, a great product is what keeps customers coming back,” she said.

Sahur Saleim, founder of beauty brand Sahur’s Art and a digital content creator, advocated for fostering an environment where women feel encouraged to innovate, take risks, and lead. “A strong support system starts with open conversations. I always ask, ‘What do you think? How can we do this better?’ Encouraging women to voice their perspectives and honouring their responses fosters an inclusive space where they feel valued and motivated to take the lead,” she said.

Audra Balasingam, General Counsel and Company Secretary at StarHub, underscored the importance of embracing digital transformation, detailing how technology can drive efficiency, customer engagement, and scalable growth for small businesses. Technology isn’t just a tool—it’s a catalyst for growth. By embracing the right digital solutions, small businesses can scale smarter, operate more efficiently, and stay ahead in a rapidly changing market,” she said.

Following the panel, HER Hub created a meaningful space for women entrepreneurs to connect, collaborate and inspire one another. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with industry experts, potential mentors, and like-minded entrepreneurs—building relations and sparking ideas that could grow into lasting partnerships and support networks beyond the event.
