1. General
1.1 StarHub may run promotions for StarHub TV+, StarHub Post-Paid Mobile+, StarHub Broadband and/or HomeHub+ Services from time to time on terms and conditions to be prescribed by StarHub and under the terms below, StarHub is currently offering subscription to Disney+ subject to eligibility criteria and acceptance of additional terms as may be advised by Disney+ (“Promotion”).
1.2 The terms and conditions for the Promotion is set out below (“Promotion Terms & Conditions”).
1.3 In addition to these Promotion Terms & Conditions, the StarHub Service that you have subscribed for is subject to StarHub's Consumer General Terms & Conditions, Service Specific Terms & Conditions for StarHub TV+ Services, StarHub Post-Paid Mobile Services, StarHub Broadband Services, HomeHub, fair usage policies (as applicable) and any further terms and conditions that we may have agreed to from time to time. You may view our terms and conditions at http://www.starhub.com.
1.4 If there is any conflict or inconsistency between any provision of these Promotion Terms & Conditions, the Consumer General Terms & Conditions and Service Specific Terms & Conditions, the documents shall be construed in the following descending order of precedence:
1.4.1 Promotion Terms & Conditions;
1.4.2 Service Specific Terms & Conditions for StarHub TV+ Services, StarHub Post-Paid Mobile Services, StarHub Broadband Services, HomeHub, fair usage policies (as applicable); and
1.4.3 Consumer General Terms & Conditions.
1.5 By participating in the Promotion, you agree to the disclosure of your personal data in the manner set out in these Promotion Terms & Conditions and/or any other terms and conditions as may be advised by Disney+. Once your Disney+ account is activated, your use of Disney+ service and the Disney+ app, including the features and functionality contained therein, will be subject to the Disney+ Subscriber Agreement, Privacy Policy and Supplemental Privacy Policy for Singapore. If there is a conflict between the terms of Disney+ Subscriber Agreement relating to the Promotion, and these terms, these terms will prevail. If and to the extent that the terms of Disney+ Subscriber Agreement conflict with these terms relating to the use of Disney+, Disney+ Subscriber Agreement shall prevail.
2. Disney+ Service
2.1 Disney+ is a paid for streaming service available via two (2) service plans: (i) a premium plan with a usual retail price of $18.98 (inclusive of GST) per month (“Disney+ Premium”); or (ii) a standard plan with a usual retail price of $15.98 (inclusive of GST) per month (“Disney+ Standard”).
2.2 Disney+ Premium allows up to four (4) concurrent streams for each Disney+ account at any time.
2.3 Disney+ Standard allows up to two (2) concurrent streams for each Disney+ account at any time.
2.4 The retail prices of the Disney+ service and the number of concurrent streams available for use shall be subject to change at the sole discretion of Disney+.
2.5 The Disney+ service is available on web browsers, supported mobile devices, set-top boxes, selected Smart TVs and game consoles.
2.6 Prevailing data charges apply for streaming Disney+ content through StarHub Post-Paid Mobile+ Services and you agree that it is subject to reasonable use and our fair usage policy.
3. Eligibility Criteria and Bundled Disney+ Access
3.1 Disney+ is available as a bundled access, either as Disney+ Premium or Disney+ Standard, for StarHub customers on selected StarHub plans during the time period in which StarHub makes the Promotion available, as specified below.
3.2 During the Bundled Access Period, you will not be able to change your current plan to another plan (i.e., Disney+ Premium to Disney+ Standard or vice versa).
For StarHub TV+ and HomeHub+ customers
3.2.1 From 2 October 2023 till 31 Mar 2025, selected StarHub TV on Fibre customers re-contracting to selected StarHub TV+ and HomeHub+ plans with 1 TV+ Pass (excluding Starter+), are eligible to access Disney+ Premium for a period of 1 year if you activate this Promotion within 30 days from the date of SMS or email notification (“Disney+ Limited Promotion”). The Disney+ Premium bundled access will commence from the date your 1 TV+ Pass is activated;
3.2.2 On 1 April 2025, selected StarHub TV+ and HomeHub+ residential customers previously holding 2 or more TV+ Passes, are eligible to access Disney+ Standard for a period of 1 year, without any re-activation required. The Disney+ Standard bundled access will commence from 1 April 2025 till 31 Mar 2026;
3.2.3 From 1 April 2025 until such time we may determine, selected re-contracting StarHub TV+ and HomeHub+ residential customers, are eligible to access Disney+ Standard for a period of 1 year only if you activate this Promotion within 30 days from the date of SMS or email notification (“Disney+ Limited Promotion”). The Disney+ Standard bundled access will commence from the date your StarHub TV+ or HomeHub+ service re-contract is effective;
For StarHub Broadband customers
3.2.4 From 1 November 2023 till 17 October 2024, all active customers subscribing to the 2Gbps $55.41/month StarHub Broadband Service on a 2-year contract are eligible to access Disney+ Standard for a period of 1 year only if you activate this Promotion within 30 days from the date of SMS or email notification. The Disney+ Standard bundled access will commence from the date the Broadband service is activated;
3.2.5 From 1 November 2023 till 31 March 2025, all active customers subscribing to the UltraSpeed 10Gbps StarHub Broadband Service on a 2-year contract are eligible to access Disney+ Standard for a period of 1 year only if you activate this Promotion within 30 days from the date of SMS or email notification. The Disney+ Standard bundled access will commence from the date the Broadband service is activated;
(collectively, the "Eligible StarHub Services" and each an "Eligible StarHub Service").
4. Add-On Promotion
4.1 Outside of the bundled access, StarHub post-paid customers who are not on the Eligible StarHub Services can choose to subscribe to Disney+ as an add-on Service by paying the prevailing monthly recurring charges (“Disney+ Add-On”).
4.2 From 1 November 2023 till 31 March 2025, the Disney+ Add-On Promotion provides you with Disney+ Premium for a price of $11.99/month (inclusive of GST) instead of the usual retail price at $18.98/month (inclusive of GST). The Minimum Period of Service is 12 months.
4.3 From 1 April 2025 until such time we may determine, the Disney+ Add-On Promotion provides you with Disney+ Standard for a price of $11.99/month (inclusive of GST) instead of the usual retail price at $15.98/month (inclusive of GST). The Minimum Period of Service is 12 months.
4.4 If the Disney+ Add-On is terminated during the Minimum Period of Service, an early termination charge (“ETC”) will be incurred based on the remaining contractual period multiplied by the usual monthly recurring charges of the Disney+ Add-On terminated.
4.5 If you are subscribed to the Disney+ Add-On, it will be converted to Disney+ bundled access, without any re-activation required, based on the following:
4.6 If you are an existing StarHub TV+ or HomeHub+ customer, your Disney+ Add-On will be automatically converted without any ETC once you have switched to any selected StarHub TV+ or HomeHub+ plan with Disney+ Standard included (“Disney+ Limited Promotion”).
4.7 The ETC will not be imposed if the conversion is done within the Minimum Period of Service.
4.8 Monthly recurring charge of Disney+ Add-On is non-prorated. You will be charged for the full month even if the Disney+ Add-On is taken up after the start of the month.
4.9 Your Disney+ entitlement for each post-paid Service that you hold is a maximum of one Disney+ Add-On, unless you are a HomeHub customer, you can choose to add Disney+ to your StarHub TV Service, StarHub Broadband Service or both.
4.10 Disney+ Add-On is only available through the StarHub App where eligible customers must opt in for Disney+ through the StarHub App.
4.11 To activate your Disney+ Add-On, you must complete the activation process via the StarHub App.
4.12 This Promotion is not available to customers whose accounts are blacklisted or with outstanding balances.
5. Activation of Disney+
5.1 As part of the activation process, you will be sent a link to your registered mobile number or email with StarHub for the purposes of redeeming and activating your Disney+ account (“Link”), and you are required to create a Disney+ account with a valid email address and password.
5.2 To take advantage of the bundled access, you are required to activate your Disney+ account within 30 days from receiving the link and must not use the same email address you used to purchase an existing Disney+ subscription.
5.3 Activation Mechanism
5.3.1 After your StarHub service order is completed, you will be sent a Link to activate the Disney+ account via the StarHub App.
5.3.2 By opting in for “Activate” in the StarHub App, you will be re-directed to the Disney+ website to create an account with Disney+.
5.3.3 Before streaming, Disney+ activation process must first be completed by downloading the Disney+ app from the respective stores on supported platforms or Disney+ website.
5.4 Irrespective of activation date, your Disney+ bundled access will end upon the expiry of the prescribed bundled access period tied to the StarHub Eligible Service.
6. Charging and Billing
6.1 By activating your Disney+ account, you agree that when your Disney+ promotional period expires, you will automatically and immediately be charged monthly for Disney+ at the prevailing retail price and your subscription to Disney+ will auto-renew on a monthly basis unless you unsubscribe from Disney+ through the StarHub App within 30 days prior to such expiration. Expiry reminders will be sent to your registered mobile number or email address with StarHub 30 days before your Disney+ promotional period expires.
6.2 If you have activated your Disney+ account from 12 November 2024, you will be charged monthly for (i) Disney+ Premium at the prevailing retail price ($18.98/month (inclusive of GST)); or (ii) Disney+ Standard at the prevailing retail price ($15.98/month (inclusive of GST)) respectively from 17 December 2024 onwards or upon the expiry of your Disney+ promotional period, whichever the later.
6.3 If you do not activate your Disney+ account, your StarHub account will not be charged for the Disney+ subscription fee when the Disney+ promotional period expires.
6.4 If you enjoy Disney+ as a bundled access or subscribe to Disney+ as an Add-On Service, unsubscribing Disney+ through the StarHub App is not available to you during the bundled access period or Minimum Period of Service respectively.
6.5 Monthly subscription fee of Disney+ is non-prorated. You will be charged for the full month even if you took up the Disney+ service after the start of the month. For example, if you subscribed to the Disney+ service on the 15th of a calendar month, you will still be charged for the full calendar month. Billing cycle for Disney+ will work independently of StarHub existing billing cycle.
6.6 If you have access to Disney+ Premium directly through Disney and have used the same email address to activate your Disney+ Premium bundled access or Disney+ Add On from StarHub, your existing Disney+ Premium subscription with Disney shall pause and your Disney+ Premium subscription will be managed by StarHub until you cancel your subscription. If you request to downgrade your Disney+ Premium subscription via StarHub to Disney+ Standard once your bundled access is over, your existing Disney+ Premium subscription with Disney will resume and you will concurrently be billed for Disney+ Standard by StarHub (“Double Billing”).
6.7 If you have access to Disney+ Standard directly through Disney and have used the same email address to activate your Disney+ Standard bundled access from StarHub, your existing Disney+ Standard subscription with Disney shall pause and your Disney+ Standard subscription will be managed by StarHub until you cancel your subscription. If you upgrade your Disney+ Standard subscription to Disney+ Premium via StarHub once your bundled access is over, you will continue to be billed by StarHub only.
6.8 If you have access to Disney+ Standard directly through Disney and have used the same email address to activate your Disney+ Premium bundled access or Disney+ Add On from StarHub, your existing Disney+ Standard subscription with Disney shall pause and your Disney+ Premium subscription will be managed by StarHub until you cancel your subscription.
6.9 If you have access to Disney+ Premium directly through Disney and have used the same email address to activate your Disney+ Standard bundled access from StarHub, your existing Disney+ Premium subscription with Disney will continue and Double Billing will occur unless you have first cancelled your Disney+ Premium subscription with Disney prior to activating your Disney+ Standard bundled access from StarHub.
6.10 In the event that Double Billing occurs to you, please reach out to Disney to manage your direct subscription through Disney.
7. Upgrade or Downgrade
7.1 Unless you enjoy Disney+ as a bundled access or subscribe to Disney+ as an Add-On Service, you may request to upgrade or downgrade your Disney+ subscription plan via the StarHub App.
7.2 Subject to Clause 7.1, you may upgrade your Disney+ Standard plan to a Disney+ Premium plan via the StarHub App. Your new plan will take effect at your next billing cycle. You will also be billed at the new rate at your next billing cycle.
7.3 Subject to Clause 7.1, you may downgrade your Disney+ Premium plan to a Disney+ Standard plan via the StarHub App. Your new plan will take effect at the next billing cycle. You’ll be able to enjoy the additional features of Disney+ Premium till then. You will also be billed at the new rate at your next billing cycle.
8. Viewing of Disney+ on StarHub TV+ Set-Top Box
8.1 You need to activate Disney+ via the StarHub App before you can log in to your Disney+ account via the Disney+ app on the StarHub TV+ set-top box. For clarity, Disney+ cannot be activated from the StarHub TV+ set-top box directly.
8.2 From time to time, you may be required to update the Disney+ app via Google Play which you will be required to login with your Google account.
9. Modification, Suspension, Termination
9.1 Continuous subscription to the Eligible StarHub Services is a prerequisite for Disney+ bundled access. You must subscribe and maintain the Eligible StarHub Services to continue with Disney+ bundled access. If your Eligible StarHub Service(s) have been suspended (either voluntarily or due to dunning), the associated Disney+ entitlement will be suspended at the same time. Your Disney+ entitlement will resume when you restart your subscription of the Eligible StarHub Service. If your Eligible StarHub Service(s) resumes within the bundled access period, the original expiration date of Disney+ bundled access will not be extended by the period(s) of any suspension(s). If your Eligible StarHub Service(s) resumes after the bundled access period, you will automatically and immediately be charged monthly for Disney+, unless you cancel.
9.2 Early termination of your Eligible StarHub Service (for any reason(s)) or a transfer in ownership of the Eligible StarHub Service will result in an automatic and immediate termination of your Disney+ entitlement without further notice to you.
9.3 An ETC applies if your Disney+ Add-On is terminated as result of termination of your StarHub Post-paid service within the Minimum Period of Service.
10. Customer Support
10.1 Please contact StarHub only for queries related to (i) availing the Promotion and/or the eligibility criteria for the Promotion; (ii) activation or deactivation of the Disney+ service as part of the Promotion; (iii) general billing enquiries related to the Promotions or your account.
10.2 For any queries, disputes or concerns on the Disney+ service or the Disney+ app, you agree to contact Disney+ directly to address such queries, disputes or concerns.
11. Additional Terms for the Promotions
11.1 This Promotion is only available until such date as we may determine and may be rescinded at anytime.
11.2 This Promotion cannot be used to offset existing subscription charges or outstanding balances due to StarHub.
11.3 Any standalone subscription to the Disney+ service cannot be substituted for the Promotion.
11.4 This Promotion is non-exchangeable for cash or kind, is non-refundable and non-transferable.
11.5 Unless we specify otherwise, this Promotion is not available with other discounts, promotions, special packages or external offers.
11.6 StarHub reserves the right to determine your entitlement to this Promotion, and StarHub/Disney+ may reject any application for Disney+, at its sole discretion.
11.7 StarHub further reserves the right to revise any of these Promotion Terms & Conditions and/or the Service Specific Terms & Conditions for StarHub TV+ Services, StarHub Post-Paid Mobile Services, StarHub Broadband Services, HomeHub, price plans, fair usage policies, at its sole discretion, at any time, without prior notice and without liability. Your use of the StarHub TV+ Services, StarHub Post-Paid Mobile Services, StarHub Broadband Services, HomeHub (as applicable) will constitute acceptance of these Promotion Terms & Conditions and the amendments thereof.
11.8 These Promotion Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Singapore and parties agree to be bound by and submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
