Hubbing multiple StarHub services for greater convenience, cost-savings and bundled privileges
Singapore, 23 January 2003 - Working from his new home in Punggol has never been easier and more productive for Mr Tan Juan Sim, who has just become StarHub’s 100,000th MaxOnline subscriber.
For being the 100,000th MaxOnline customer, Mr Tan received the much-coveted Apple PowerMac G4 system, worth more than $16,000, from StarHub’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Yong Lum Sung on 23 January 2003.
Besides the MaxOnline service, Mr Tan also uses StarHub’s recently launched Digital Voice for telecommuting. At home, he hubs with StarHub’s cable TV service for leisure.
To Mr Tan who is in sales, winning the Apple PowerMac G4 system could not have come at a better time as he had recently given much thought to getting a new computer for his home.
One Source for All Needs
When asked about his decision to hub with StarHub’s triple services, a smiling Mr Tan said, "StarHub has everything to serve my family’s communication, information and entertainment needs. My wife and I watch StarHub Cable TV for leisure and I telecommute with MaxOnline and Digital Voice."
He added: "I like the idea of getting my cable TV, broadband Internet access and fixed-line telephone services, all from one service provider as it is very convenient. Compared to going to different service providers for multiple services, the great bundled offers from StarHub have helped me saved on my total bill. Never in my dreams did I think I would win such a wonderful prize for hubbing with StarHub."
Said Mr Yong: "We at StarHub are excited about our capability in being able to provide a unique suite of value-for-money infocommunications services. Our customers can simply have the convenience of hubbing from one source and enjoy enhanced benefits by subscribing to our multiple services. "
"So hubbing is really the way to go not only for StarHub, but also for our savvy customers who, by hubbing with various StarHub services like the Tan family, are able to enjoy greater convenience, cost-savings and bundled privileges, " added Mr Yong.
To date, MaxOnline has attracted more than 103,000 subscriber households and continues to take pole position in residential broadband Internet access service market in Singapore for the third consecutive year.
