Singapore, 5 February 2004 - StarHub will get local music fans ready for one of the most-anticipated event of the year - the MTV Asia Awards 2004. To be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 14 February 2004, the awards ceremony has already received wide attention from the public and media alike.
StarHub, the official local sponsor of the MTV Asia Awards 2004, will be organising an exclusive party bash at Zouk on 11 February 2004. The expected crowd of over a thousand will be treated to an up-close-and-personal encounter with the UK pop group, Liberty X!
Recognised as one of the biggest and most respected pop acts in the United Kingdom, Liberty X has been branded as the band with the X factor. The band’s debut album, Thinking It Over, went double platinum and was constantly on UK’s Top 50 airplay charts for 10 months. A united band with their own style, ideas and tunes that swept a nation off their feet, they will be getting the groove going for fans and viewers in Asia at the awards! Liberty X will be performing hits ‘Just A Little’ and ‘Being Nobody’. They will also judge an impromptu dance competition at the StarHub-MTV Asia Awards 2004 Private Party.
Guests at the party, hosted by MTV VJs Utt and Denise, can also take part in games and other competitions to win the coveted tickets to MTV Asia Awards 2004 and MTV Asia Awards 2004 collectibles.

Fans of MTV VJs Utt and Denise can tune in to HubTV (StarHub CableTV Channel 26) from 11pm to midnight on 7 February, a week before the awards. HubTV will be hosting a ‘live’ chat session with the two hosts of the StarHub-MTV Asia Awards 2004 Private Party. Viewers simply need to SMS their messages to HubTV, and their messages, along with replies from Utt and Denise will be displayed on the channel!
The MTV Asia Awards 2004 fever has also reached StarHub’s Shops at Plaza Singapura and OUB Centre. The public can purchase specially made MTV Asia Awards 2004 collectibles exclusively at these outlets. Viewers can catch a same-day delayed telecast of the MTV Asia Awards 2004 on StarHub Cable’s MTV S.E.A. (Channel 20) at 10pm on 14 February 2004.
