Singapore, 12 January 2016 – Fans of all things Japanese will soon be able to soak up authentic Japanese culture right in the comfort of their living rooms when WAKUWAKU JAPAN (StarHub TV Channel 813) launches on StarHub TV on 15 January. Most of the content will be aired in the original Japanese language, with English subtitles, while selected programmes will be dubbed in English.
Through its rich assortment of quality content across various genres, WAKUWAKU JAPAN will give viewers deeper insights into the fascinating world of Japan round-the-clock. These include first-run drama series, thrilling anime and superhero series, engaging kids’ programmes and captivating cultural shows and documentaries.
At launch, some key programmes that audiences can look forward to include the latest hit drama Downtown Rocket, a moving story about a factory manager who overcomes all odds in developing his dream rocket engine; ONE PIECE, a feel-good anime about a boy named Luffy and his journey in the age of pirates; and The Wonder Japan –Takumi, an enthralling cultural programme that showcases Japan’s finest craftsmanship and services. Football fans will also be in for a treat when J.LEAGUE, Japan’s professional football league, kicks off the 2016 season in February with the top 18 teams.
