New mobile app proactively blocks scam calls and SMSes—free for everyone in Singapore for the first six months
Singapore, 18 August 2025 – Scam calls and messages are becoming more sophisticated, making it harder to tell what’s real and what’s not. As StarHub marks 25 years of serving and safeguarding Singapore, it is reaffirming its commitment to customer protection with ScamSafe, a new mobile app that keeps digital security simple, proactive, and accessible to all.
Developed with Gogolook, a global leader in AI anti-scam technologies, ScamSafe caller automatically blocks known scam calls and filters suspicious SMS messages before they appear. Users can also set up keyword filters for SMS, check unknown numbers against a constantly updated scam database, and report scams to help protect others.
ScamSafe is the latest addition to SafeHub+, StarHub’s growing suite of cybersecurity tools that make it easier for people to stay safe online, whether it’s helping someone avoid a scam call during a busy day, or giving a loved one the confidence to use their phones without worry. As Singapore celebrates SG60, protecting our digital lives is more important than ever, and SafeHub+ aims to give people the confidence to navigate today’s connected world securely.
